Our take on Fledge
The store copy emphasizes Corentin’s dream and the forest setting, while giving less space to the limited mechanical outline: platforming, movement optimization, and crab-stick collection. The premise sounds broader than the specific activities described.
What is Fledge?
Fledge is a 2D platform game starring Corentin, a young pigeon who sets out to find his idol and become a great explorer.
His first attempt at flying goes badly, leading him into Auburn Forest, a place filled with strange remnants and eccentric inhabitants. The game combines forest exploration with movement-focused platforming. Players learn and use different movement techniques to travel efficiently and maintain speed. Collecting crab sticks adds another objective to Corentin’s journey through the forest.
How Fledge plays
- 01Forest exploration
- Auburn Forest contains strange remnants and eccentric inhabitants to encounter.
- 02Movement mastery
- Different movement techniques can be learned and combined for faster traversal.
- 03Crab stick collecting
- Crab sticks appear as collectibles during the journey through the forest.
Fledge compared to similar games
Fledge centers on 2D platforming, forest exploration, movement optimization, and collecting crab sticks. SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER is described as a runner with shooting, dodging, destruction, and combat, so its play focuses on forward movement and fighting rather than exploration.
