Our take on Fiora
The defining constraint is the flame: collecting firewood is required to keep Fiora burning, and magic becomes unavailable when the flame is not maintained.
What is Fiora?
Fiora is a roguelike with randomly generated maps where players fight shadows and collect firewood to keep Fiora’s flame burning.
Magic cannot be used without the flame. Movement includes dodging and pushing obstacles while planning routes. Crystal oil upgrades weapon characteristics, with three weapon types and four classes currently available. Weapons can be upgraded to +20, but an upgrade may break the weapon and remove it from the inventory. Bosses and special opponents appear periodically or during certain events.
How Fiora plays
- 01Randomized Maps
- Each run uses maps generated at random, requiring route planning around obstacles.
- 02Flame-Based Magic
- Firewood must be collected to keep Fiora’s flame active before magic can be used.
- 03Weapon Upgrades
- Crystal oil raises weapon characteristics, with upgrades reaching +20 but carrying a risk of weapon loss.
- 04Event Encounters
- Bosses and special enemies appear at intervals or during specific events.
