Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat systems, resource management, or character progression may bounce off the puzzle-focused structure.
- Players who need clearly explained world rules may hit a wall when Finque becomes confused by how her surroundings work.
- Players looking for a broad open world may find the escape route and The Eye’s guidance too narrowly focused.
Our take on Finque
Players who rely on familiar physical logic may bounce off the central rule that stepping on an object prevents falling. The four skills add another point of friction when their uses are not immediately clear to Finque.
What is Finque?
Finque is trapped inside a dream and must find a way out while questioning the nature of her surroundings.
The Eye claims to be the only one who can free her and directs her through the dream-world. Its environment follows unusual physical rules: objects support Finque whenever she steps on them, even when they appear abnormal to her. The Eye grants Finque four skills, which she uses to navigate and solve puzzles. Her confusion about the world and its rules forms part of the journey, as she asks questions while following The Eye’s instructions.
