Our take on Feesh
Instead of giving the player a fixed combat role or a conventional level route, Feesh builds its arcade structure around food-chain vulnerability. Growth is temporary and conditional: every larger creature becomes a possible predator, while evolution depends on surviving the surrounding ecosystem.
What is Feesh?
Feesh is a minimalist arcade game about a tiny fish-like microorganism trying to survive in a food chain.
Eating smaller creatures increases its size, while larger creatures can consume it. Red creatures reduce the player’s size, and jellyfish-like creatures can sting. Different creature types have distinct behaviors to observe or discover through play, while sharks add another threat. Surviving long enough triggers evolution. The game includes Steam leaderboards, controller support, mouse controls, and a competitive mode for 2–4 players. Chillout mode removes the usual pressure and lets the game run as an ambient experience. Feesh was originally created for the Ludum Dare 48-hour game jam.
How Feesh plays

- Consuming smaller creatures increases the player character’s size, while larger ones remain a threat.
- 02Creature abilities
- Red creatures can shrink the player, and jellyfish-like creatures can sting.
- 03Steam leaderboards
- Players can compare their position in the food chain through Steam rankings.
- 04Multiplayer competition
- A competitive mode supports 2–4 players.
- 05Chillout mode
- An ambient mode lets the game play without the usual active survival focus.
- 06Control options
