Our take on Family Business
The store presentation leans on the game's large-scale mafia-shooter framing, while the more consequential context is its Early Access status and the current use of AI for images and some music. Those details materially shape what the present version represents.
What is Family Business?
Family Business is a first-person shooter set in a comedic universe spanning the 1920s to the 1950s.
Players can compete with others or play alone against bots across different maps and five listed modes: Conquest, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Kill Confirmed, and Free for All. Matches involve eliminating opponents, winning, earning money, purchasing weapons, and modifying an arsenal. A separate zombie scenario pits players against large groups of undead while hinting at an apocalypse mystery involving Feilstrecker. The game is in Early Access. The current version uses AI-produced images and some music, while the developer says artwork in the Mobdog Studios version will not use AI.
