Skip it if you…

- Players without a VR headset
- Groups looking for online multiplayer instead of local co-op
Our take on Eye in the Sky
The two-perspective structure makes communication central, but it also requires two people to coordinate throughout the experience. The VR headset requirement and local-only format narrow the setup compared with games that support solo or online play.
What is Eye in the Sky?
Eye in the Sky is a local co-op escape room for one VR player and one computer player.
Each player explores the same post-apocalyptic robot world from a different viewpoint and must exchange information to solve puzzles. The VR player controls the Eye from an overhead perspective, interacts with objects, and guides the Light. The computer player controls the Light, a small robot that explores areas the Eye cannot reach, finds information, enters hidden spaces, and collects puzzle components.
The game uses VR room-scale play, with levels built for a 2m x 2m area. Its escape-room structure becomes more complex as the pair progresses toward the center of the robot planet. A VR headset and a second human player are required, and play is local co-op only.
How Eye in the Sky plays
- 01Asymmetric roles
- The VR participant directs the Eye while the computer participant controls the Light and handles areas inaccessible to the Eye.
- 02Room-scale levels
- VR areas are built around a 2m x 2m play space.
- 03Shared puzzle solving
- Progress depends on exchanging information between the two viewpoints to find objects, reveal areas, and complete puzzles.
- 04Increasing complexity
- The escape-room challenges become more complex as the players move farther through the robot world.
