Our take on Everpath
Everpath departs from a conventional RPG campaign by making procedural runs the central structure. Character development still uses classes, specializations, and perks, while randomized equipment changes the available combat combinations from run to run.
What is Everpath?
In Northbarrow, each roguelite action-RPG run follows a procedurally varied layout.
Players serve in the local army, select a melee or ranged fighter from four classes, and shape that character through eight specializations, four additional unlockable options, and class perks. Areas feature enemies with varied fighting methods, along with empowered or elite versions, unusual encounters, surviving soldiers, and peculiar townspeople. The lowest floor of every area ends with an epic boss battle. A pool exceeding 200 randomly created items supports varied gear setups, including bonuses to attack speed, damage, fire attacks, freezing, movement, and blocking. Other equipment grants temporary or lasting stat increases and includes offensive or defensive scrolls, risk-based trinkets, bombs, and alchemical mixtures.
