Our take on Eternity Egg
The emphasis on rapid platforming and eccentric world-building leaves less room for a grounded or relaxed adventure. Active development also means some elements may change before release, so the current design is not necessarily final.
What is Eternity Egg?
Eternity Egg is a three-dimensional platforming adventure set in a grotesque, warped land.
Its movement system includes bouncing, running along walls, flipping from them, dashing, sliding, and striking the ground from above. An upgradeable machine for handling municipal refuse carries the protagonist across the overworld. An entropic staff collects and channels displaced energy while pursuing restored thermodynamic balance. The game includes talks with inhabitants, fights against swollen entropy parasites, trading trinkets and curios through a gift-based economy, and uncovering hidden elements of the distorted world. Energetic trance tracks accompany play. Rapid light effects can pose problems for people with epilepsy triggered by light or other light sensitivities. Development is ongoing, so some aspects may be altered before release.
