Our take on ERSATZ
The focus on rapid movement and timed performance leaves little room for a slower, exploratory pace. Its tightly defined level-and-ranking structure trades broad adventure scope for repeated attempts aimed at faster runs and higher grades.
What is ERSATZ?
ERSATZ is a hardcore action platformer built around speed, rhythm, and an electronic soundtrack that changes with progression.
The dash serves as both movement and attack; striking enemies restores a dash block, allowing players to combine dashes with slams and maintain momentum. The game includes 8 increasingly intense levels, each with times and grades, plus a target of earning an S Rank across every level and playstyle. Journey Mode adds a sub-60-minute challenge, while Infinite Mode provides unlimited dash energy and separate leaderboards.
Synth Rush puts individual bosses or the full boss set against the clock. Type Beta and Type Gamma offer alternative playstyles. Steam leaderboards are available in-game for Windows, Mac, and Linux, with full controller support and beat-synchronized vibration.
