Era of Survival places Jack in a world where nature has reclaimed an environment after the end of the technological age.
Survival involves securing food, water, clothing, and shelter through farming, hunting, fishing, gathering, and construction. Players can grow vegetables with irrigation, hunt wolves and bears using a bow, cook meat, and build homes of any design or size from at least 15 construction parts. The world includes forests, ponds, changing weather, temperature shifts, and day-night cycles.
Resource management affects how far Jack must travel for materials, especially if nearby trees are removed. The game also includes storage decisions, stronger tool crafting, defense against hostile animals and environmental conditions, and long-term survival choices such as settling near a wolf den or dam.
