Our take on End Space
The virtual-reality starfighter format gives the game a focused cockpit-combat identity, but that specialization narrows it to players seeking space battles rather than varied movement, exploration, or on-foot encounters.
What is End Space?
End Space is a virtual-reality space combat game set in the Tartarus sector, at the edge of inhabited space.
Players pilot the Minos Starfighter while carrying out contracts for the United Trade Consortium and opposing Tartarus Liberation Front insurgents. Combat uses gaze tracking to aim Pulse Lasers or target enemies for Meteor Missiles. Missions become more difficult as the campaign progresses, with rank advancement tied to increasingly daring assignments. Completing missions unlocks additional weapons and starfighter upgrades. The story also involves protecting the UTC’s concealed jump-drive technology while investigating the secrets of the sector.
How End Space plays
- 01Gaze-Based Targeting
- The starfighter can track enemies through the pilot’s gaze before weapons are fired.
- 02Two Weapon Types
- Pulse Lasers provide direct fire, while Meteor Missiles attack locked targets.
- 03Mission Progression
- More demanding contracts become available as the player advances through the ranks.
- 04Weapon Upgrades
- Progression grants access to new weapons and improvements for the starfighter.
