Our take on Elder Chaos
The world-domination premise may suggest direct conquest, but concealment is also a central requirement. Power must be gathered while the Old One remains hidden, making secrecy part of the main strategic tension rather than a minor theme.
What is Elder Chaos?
Take the part of an ancient Old One rather than an investigator in a Lovecraft-inspired Cthulhu setting.
After emerging from a long confinement beneath the earth, gather strength, erect structures, call upon servants, and battle investigators while keeping the growing reputation of the Old One concealed. Six deities provide distinct abilities, and facilities and creatures serve different purposes. Unpredictable incidents alter conditions during play, while a star-based assessment tracks results. The campaign spans three themes and several stages, with many victory routes tied to celestial powers. A collection records discovered monsters, investigators, facilities, and Old Ones.

Elder Chaos compared to similar games
