Our take on El Tango de la Muerte
The focus on quick, casual rhythm play keeps the design centered on learning song-specific movements and improving scores. That narrow structure leaves less room for expansive exploration, complex character systems, or broader gameplay variety.
What is El Tango de la Muerte?
Set in Argentina in 1923, this casual rhythm game follows Luciano as he learns tango before Martita’s birthday.
Players guide him across tiles in four directions, moving one tile at a time or sliding across several tiles in time with each song. Every song introduces a new movement to learn, with higher scores and more stars awarded for mastering the patterns. The campaign presents a melodramatic love story inspired by Latin American soap operas. It includes 13 modern tango tracks performed by YIRA, plus Classic Mode and a special Challenge for each song. Cats also appear as part of the game’s additional features.
