Our take on Ekans
The defining twist is that the player takes the role of the fruit, turning Snake's familiar pursuit into an evasion game. The snake remains the threat, while apple consumption determines score growth and each attempt becomes a contest for leaderboard position.
What is Ekans?
Ekans reverses the classic Snake setup: the player controls the fruit rather than the snake.
The objective is to evade the pursuing snake while collecting points and trying to improve leaderboard placement. Points rise whenever the snake eats an apple, making each movement part of a tactical attempt to survive and score. Each session offers another chance to beat a previous result or surpass other players. The game presents a cat-and-mouse structure centered on movement, survival, and score competition. The vendor also says the game is still being adjusted and invites suggestions through its community hub or Discord.
How Ekans plays
- 01Fruit-Based Evasion
- Players guide the fruit while avoiding the snake instead of controlling the snake itself.
- 02Score Leaderboard
- Points from the snake eating apples contribute to attempts to reach a higher ranking.
- 03Tactical Movement
- Survival depends on choosing movements while the pursuing snake continues the chase.
