Our take on Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon
The arcade focus trades broader exploration for repeated combat, scoring, and weapon collection. Its large-scale battles also make widespread city damage part of the play space, leaving less emphasis on preserving or carefully navigating the environment.
What is Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon?
This arcade shooter tasks the Earth Defense Force with protecting New Detroit from enormous bugs and extraterrestrial attackers.
Battles can leave broad sections of the city in ruins. An arsenal exceeding 300 weapons includes firearms, explosives, directed-energy equipment, long-range rifles, and other categories. Four armor types—Jetpack, Battle, Tactical, and Trooper—provide upgrade paths. Arcade scoring, weapon collecting, and selectable difficulty levels give the game repeat-play structure across its modes. Survival supports six participants, placing a human team against an unending assault from the aliens’ biggest creatures. The campaign follows Earth Defense Force 2017, known in Japan as Earth Defense Force 3, and continues that series’ alien-invasion premise.

Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon compared to similar games
Hentai Vs Furries is also a third-person shooter with guns, but its description focuses on quests for skins, five camera angles, emotes, and a main mode. Abyssus combines multiplayer shooting with hand-crafted levels, roguelite progression, and weapon modifications, while Insect Armageddon centers on arcade scoring, more than 300 weapons, four upgradeable armor types, and six-player Survival.
