Our take on DYE
Its defining structure is the four-world layout, with each world combining 9 regular stages, 4 challenge levels, and a unique boss fight.
What is DYE?
DYE is a precision platformer about Hue, who rescues Pigments and defeats Necrolights to restore color to the world.
Movement centers on jumping, wall jumping, and floating across 4 worlds. The game includes 56 levels and 560 Pigments, alongside 8 achievement-unlocked skins, leaderboards for individual levels and speedruns, unique boss fights, challenge stages, achievements, and trading cards. Regular levels have checkpoints in Normal Mode; Hard Mode removes them and adds danger. Challenge levels contain 100 dust, with a Pigment freed for every 20 dust collected. Their Hard Mode versions add a time limit. Keyboard controls are available, and the game supports common Xbox, Steam, and PS4 controllers.

DYE compared to similar games
DYE focuses on precision platforming across discrete levels, collectible Pigments, hard-mode variants, and speedrun leaderboards. Sundered: Eldritch Edition is described as a chaotic metroidvania, while SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER combines runner gameplay with shooting. DYE therefore centers on repeated stage challenges rather than metroidvania exploration or runner-shooter action.
