Is DungeonTop worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Roguelike fans who want deck-building combined with board positioning
- Strategy players who enjoy making build choices between battles
- Fantasy players who want hero classes, equipment, artifacts, and dungeon exploration
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a short, fixed campaign may find repeated dungeon runs and ongoing build experimentation too persistent
- Players who prefer action combat may hit a wall when success depends on card choices and tactical positioning
- Players looking for a purely card-based game may not enjoy the tabletop battle layer
Our take on DungeonTop
The bounce point is the shift from deck selection to board positioning. Players who can assemble a promising card build but do not enjoy managing range, flanking, tanking, and rushing may stall once battles demand tactical movement rather than deck choices alone.
What is DungeonTop?
DungeonTop combines roguelike deck building with tabletop-style battles.
Players select a hero class and allegiance before entering a dungeon, where decisions affect later survival. Combat rewards positioning and board tactics, including attacking from range, flanking enemies, protecting allies, and rushing targets. Between battles, players can upgrade or remove cards, collect loot and gold, equip weapons, use artifacts, and develop talents. Hero classes shape available spells and play styles, while allegiances determine the minions encountered. Progress can focus on gathering gold or defeating monsters. The game includes more than 800 cards to unlock, along with achievements and treasures to discover.
