Our take on Dungeonfell
The bounce point arrives when party composition and route choices start carrying the run. Players who do not want to study Delver abilities, weigh dungeon rewards against difficulty, or repeat runs to reach harder Corruption levels may hit the wall there.
What is Dungeonfell?
Dungeonfell is a single-player tactical roguelite built around turn-based dungeon expeditions.
Assemble a party from a roster of Delvers, learn their distinct abilities, and combine them to create team synergies. Each run sends the group through dungeon layers filled with monster encounters, route choices, varying difficulties, and rewards. Treasure and Gold support progression by unlocking Delvers and advancing their skill trees, while spells and Relics provide additional ways to develop the party. The Celestial Tablet unlocks skills, abilities, Relics, and other progression options. Completing dungeons opens harder Corruption levels. Runs differ from one another, and global leaderboards track top scores as the party works toward the Keystones and the source of the spreading corruption.
How Dungeonfell plays
- 01Party Composition
- Choose from distinct Delvers and combine their abilities to form different team setups.
- 02Route Selection
- Pick paths through dungeon layers that offer different challenge levels and rewards.
- 03Delver Progression
- Spend Gold to recruit additional Delvers and advance their individual skill trees.
- 04Relic Collection
- Gather Relics and use the Celestial Tablet to unlock further skills and abilities.
- 05Corruption Levels
- Completed dungeons unlock increasingly difficult Corruption levels.
- 06Global Leaderboards
- Post run scores to compare them on global leaderboards.
Dungeonfell compared to similar games
Dungeonfell centers on repeated, turn-based dungeon runs with a team of Delvers, route choices, Relics, and Corruption levels. Shogun Showdown also uses turn-based roguelike structure, but focuses on positioning, attack tiles, combos, and deck-building before a fight with the Shogun. Xenonauts instead covers a Cold War alien invasion through a persistent military organization, squad operations, and technology recovery.
