Our take on デュエホロ (DUEHOLO)
Rather than using a persistent campaign, this card RPG resets a run after defeat and makes route selection part of progression. Its low-HP attack increase also reverses the usual advantage of staying healthy, while each playable character requires a matching 20-card deck.
What is デュエホロ (DUEHOLO)?
DUEHOLO is a solo deck-building roguelike card RPG built around card battles.
Players choose one of eight playable hololive characters, each with a distinct ability, then shape a 20-card deck to suit that character. Battles retain the current hand, add one card each turn, and increase maximum MP by 1. Lower HP raises attack power, allowing reversals during longer fights. Cards can be obtained after battles or from a store. Route choices affect progression, while losing resets the run. The game includes 35 opposing hololive talents, listeners, and mascots, three difficulty levels, a tutorial mode, and achievements that reward talent illustrations.
