Our take on Drift: Space Survival
The defining premise is rebuilding a crashed research ship piece by piece inside an asteroid field, using gathered materials, crafted equipment, automation, and researched technology to work toward a return home.
What is Drift: Space Survival?
Drift: Space Survival is a cooperative survival adventure set in an unexplored asteroid field.
Players investigate the field, collect materials, and use them to restore technology lost when a research ship crashes. The game supports solo play and groups of up to 7 friends. Activities include mining asteroids, constructing ships, crafting survival equipment, upgrading multi-tools, and using tractor beams. Automated systems can handle tasks while expeditions continue. Players can also encounter unfamiliar fauna, research recovered technology, and work with a maintenance drone while developing systems such as life support. The long-term objective is to rebuild enough of the research vessel and its technology to return home.

Drift: Space Survival compared to similar games
Mr. Prepper also combines survival and crafting, but places its play around building an underground shelter and dealing with an authoritarian government. Drift: Space Survival instead centers on cooperative asteroid-field exploration, ship reconstruction, automation, and recovering technology after a space mission disaster.
