Our take on Downslope
Its focus on downhill runs and timed progression gives up the broader track variety of a general racing game. The mountain setting, ghost encounters, and rider styling add context, but the core activity remains repeated descents toward the end.
What is Downslope?
Downslope is a snowboarding game built around descending a mysterious mountain.
Players race through difficult downhill courses and must reach each section in time to continue toward the mountain’s end. Along the route, they encounter ghosts of previous snowboarders, hear their stories, and assist them in moving on. The game also includes rider customization through a range of clothing choices. In local multiplayer, friends can compete in fast races to determine who is the better snowboarder. Its structure combines timed solo progression, mountain exploration, character styling, ghost encounters, and competitive local sessions.
How Downslope plays
- 01Timed downhill courses
- Reaching each section within the required time allows progression farther down the mountain.
- 02Rider customization
- A selection of clothing lets players create a preferred appearance for the snowboarder.
- 03Ghost encounters
- Previous riders appear on the slopes, share their stories, and can be helped to move on.
- 04Local multiplayer races
- Friends can compete against one another in fast-paced sessions.
