We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- RPG players who want crafting, exploration, farming, and building alongside combat
- Local groups of up to four players seeking cooperative role-playing
- Players who enjoy party development through equipment, abilities, feats, and custom classes
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly linear RPG may bounce off the open-world structure and many optional activities.
- Players who prefer purely menu-driven combat may find real-time battles with incoming reinforcements demanding.
- Solo players who do not want to manage crafting, farming, camp building, and party customization may find the systems distracting.
- Players looking for a short, single-setting adventure may not want a campaign spread across more than 60 islands and three worlds.
Our take on Doom & Destiny Worlds
The bounce point is the layered progression loop: gathering materials, selecting blueprints, managing party abilities, and maintaining camp and farm activities. Players who want to move directly from one story battle to the next may stop when exploration and resource management become necessary between encounters.
What is Doom & Destiny Worlds?
Doom & Destiny Worlds is an open-world, turn-based RPG set across more than 60 hand-made islands.
Four friends with amnesia gather resources, investigate their arrival, and face three tyrants while seeking a way home. The game combines crafting, building, farming, exploration, and local co-op for up to four players. Blueprints and collected materials can produce weapons, armor, drinks, and explosives. Party members gain levels, unlock Feats, improve Abilities, and can be arranged into custom Classes. Battles occur in real time while using turn-based combat, and enemies may arrive as reinforcements. Outside combat, players can mine, dig canals, raise mountains, create a camp, craft furniture, grow food, and prepare snacks or drinks.
