Play it if you…
Good fit- Precision-platformer players who want underwater movement challenges
- Time-attack players who enjoy competing on global leaderboards
- Players who prefer short level objectives with non-linear progression
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking broad exploration may hit the level-based structure and fixed treasure objectives quickly.
- Players who dislike balancing movement constraints with oxygen, health, hazards, and treasure weight may bounce off during early attempts.
- Players looking for a story-driven adventure may find the focus on platforming, collection, and times too narrow.
Our take on Don't Drown
The bounce point arrives when a treasure chest changes the movement rules: gravity becomes stronger while carrying it, forcing boost use around hazards. Players who want movement to stay consistent from start to finish may hit that system before the leaderboard competition becomes relevant.
What is Don't Drown?
Don’t Drown is an underwater precision platformer about guiding a deep-sea diver through hazardous environments.
Movement includes walking, running, swimming, and sinking, with a boost that changes speed and can counter the extra gravity caused by carrying treasure. Each level contains 1 to 3 treasure chests; collecting at least one completes the level and opens its leaderboard entry. Obstacles and wildlife can cost health or end a run, while oxygen also requires management. The game offers 4 worlds, 6 levels per world, difficulty settings, and non-linear progression, allowing levels to be unlocked in any order. Controller support, rebindable keys, and Steam leaderboards are included.
