Our take on Din's Champion
The broad systems come with divided attention: gathering, construction, class development, combat, and crisis response all compete for time while enemies grow stronger. That creates strategic pressure, but leaves less room for a focused action-RPG rhythm.
What is Din's Champion?
Fight an evil goddess in a sidescrolling 2D fantasy action RPG where exploration, resource gathering, crafting, construction, and combat compete for time.
Choose from dozens of classes with distinct skill trees, strengths, and weaknesses, then equip gear with different stats and perks. Multiplayer allows friends to join campaigns. Towns can grow around armies of dozens or hundreds of NPCs, while enemies develop strategies, set ambushes, steal resources, spread plagues, and trigger uprisings. The world includes hundreds of monster types across different biomes, supported by bosses with individual agendas. Choices include deciding whether to rescue people, cure a plague, or gather resources while darkness continues to build power.
How Din's Champion plays

- 03Reactive Enemy Forces
- Monsters can organize ambushes, uprisings, resource theft, plagues, and curses instead of waiting passively.
- 04Resource-Focused Crafting

- 05Expanding Settlements
- A town can be developed around an army containing dozens or hundreds of NPCs.
