Our take on Demon's Rise - War for the Deep
The focus on a six-hero party and turn-based encounters puts tactical positioning at the center of play. That means the experience is built around repeated combat decisions rather than real-time action or battles against other players.
What is Demon's Rise - War for the Deep?
Lead a party of six heroes through Angor, an ancient underground city, in a turn-based tactical RPG.
Choose from 30 character classes, then fight across an 85-level structure: a linked campaign of 35 levels and 50 patrol missions. Battles reward positioning, with cover and terrain affecting protection and power. Heroes gain experience, level up, and learn spells and abilities as they fight. Classes have different strengths and special moves, including spells, weapon attacks, and ways to affect enemy morale. Find gold, weapons, armour, and artifacts; equip them or sell them for other gear. The campaign pits the party against goblins, undead, ratmen, and demon lords. The game has no in-app purchases.

Demon's Rise - War for the Deep compared to similar games
Demon's Rise - Lords of Chaos also centers on fantasy warfare, but its description focuses on commanding legions and serving dark gods, while War for the Deep uses a six-hero party in turn-based tactical battles.
