Our take on Demented Pixie
Permadeath stays active while equipment combinations can alter magical powers, so each dungeon attempt pairs permanent failure with improvised loadout decisions.
What is Demented Pixie?
Demented Pixie combines twin-stick shooting with roguelike dungeon exploration.
Each run uses changing levels filled with keys, portals, traps, enemies, secrets, and randomly selected bosses. Permadeath remains active, while magical items and marked equipment pieces alter available powers through their combinations. A jigsaw-style equipment layout adds another layer of selection, and shrines, scrolls, curses, hidden routes, and uneven item combinations can change a run’s direction. Players can unlock additional content through branching levels and endings, collect library entries about the setting, and choose between keyboard and mouse, keyboard-only, or gamepad controls. The presentation uses crystal-like light-focused visuals and music by Audioboy.
