Our take on DEFLATE
The two-mode structure divides play between melody performance and drum sequencing. That choice gives the game contrasting rhythm tasks, but players focused on mastering one chart style may find it less specialized than a single-format rhythm game.
What is DEFLATE?
Play a four-key vertical rhythm game with two chart styles.
Melody Mode uses falling notes and lead lines, while Drum Mode turns the display into a two-step sequencer for kicks and snares. The Spacebar changes modes when timed with falling bars. Selectable characters represent different drum-machine timbres, and players can combine hit effects with alternate note designs. The music library draws on creators from the dizzylab platform, including fan-made, original, and indie tracks selected from nearly a thousand albums. Current content includes characters and music, while additional characters and material are planned for future updates. The game focuses on keyboard timing, musical texture, and switching between melodic and rhythmic play during tracks.
