Play it if you…

- Space-survival fans who want missions with both internal and external threats

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want fixed character roles may hit a wall when each die’s duty depends on its roll.
- Players seeking missions without recurring threats or a boss fight at the end may find the repeated structure limiting.
- Players looking for a historical or large-scale military strategy game may prefer a different scope.
Our take on Dee-6: Dice Defenders
The sticking point is the dice-role system: each roll determines a crew member’s task, so players who want direct, fixed control over ship duties may hit a wall when a roll assigns a less useful role during a crisis.
What is Dee-6: Dice Defenders?
Dee-6: Dice Defenders is a tactical board game about guiding a spaceship crew made up of six dice.
Each die’s role depends on its roll: it can fire lasers, restore shields, repair the hull, or treat injured dice. Missions bring recurring external dangers, including pirates, asteroids, and nebulae, alongside internal problems such as boarders, anomalies, and parasites. Players earn coins from missions and achievements, then spend coins on mercenaries who can help shift difficult situations. Every mission ends with a boss fight, and the game offers five modes, including a campaign and random battles. Six ships have distinct play styles. The game also allows players to make threats and missions, and create translations.
