Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a fixed sequence of encounters may find the changing runs and map exploration a poor match.
- Players who prefer combat without card combinations may hit a wall when battles depend on building and using a deck.
- Players looking for a game outside fantasy settings may not want its creatures, clans, and goddess-led conflict.
Our take on Deck Hunter
Players who want combat without managing a deck may hit their wall when facing creatures: attacks, defense, and spells all depend on card combinations. Those who expect a fixed route may also lose interest once exploration and changing runs become central.
What is Deck Hunter?
Deck Hunter is a roguelike card game set in Klanojh, a fantasy world threatened by Glatta, the Goddess of Anger.
Play as Avery, explore her past, and fight creatures while working toward a confrontation with Glatta. Build a deck from attack, defense, and spell cards, combine them in battles, and upgrade cards to increase their power. The map contains different areas, including forests and mountains, with their own creatures and dangers; exploring can reveal hidden areas. Armor can also be unlocked to strengthen the deck. Each playthrough differs from the previous one. The story follows Avery as she forms alliances, learns about her master, and faces the consequences of the Clans War.
