Our take on Deathbulge: Battle of the Bands
Combat hinges on what happens between turns: the system blends real-time effects with turn-based actions, making that interval part of each fight.
What is Deathbulge: Battle of the Bands?
Faye, Ian and Briff are three friends who enter a cursed battle of the bands where every contestant attacks with music.
Choose from 9 music-themed classes, each with distinct attacks and perks, and use a combat system that combines turn-based play with real-time effects between turns. Enemies appear on the field rather than through random encounters, and 3 field abilities can be used to avoid them. The band keeps each piece of merch after finding it; using merch consumes STOCK, a shared resource that refills. Patches of band logos on a battle jacket add perks. The game also includes roughly 15–20 hours of play, a late-game dating segment, an original soundtrack, and NPC dialogue that changes as the story progresses.
