Our take on Dead Drop
Rather than giving both sides comparable combat roles, the game divides play between a concealed Spy and a searching Sniper. Its central challenge is movement imitation within a crowd, replacing the usual direct confrontation with observation, deception, and identification.
What is Dead Drop?
Dead Drop is a local two-player espionage game built around deception and crowd movement.
One player controls the Spy, who must complete objectives while matching the movement of non-player characters to avoid detection. The other controls the Sniper, whose task is to locate and eliminate the Spy. The Spy can use gadgets including smoke, flash effects, temporary crowd creation, body swapping with a non-player character, and outfit shuffling. Play takes place across locations such as a city square, metro station, dance club, cocktail party, baggage claim, and pool party. The vendor also lists additional gadgets and maps as planned additions.
