Our take on Dark PGT
The store framing foregrounds extreme difficulty, surreal mystery, and the Unreal Engine 5 setting. The quieter constraint is that combat has no character progression, leaving the sword and player experience as the primary systems for handling the challenge.
What is Dark PGT?
Dark PGT is a Souls-like action RPG set in an alternate future USSR.
The player takes the role of a military alcoholic experiencing hallucinations and psychological disorders while traveling to a village in 2030. The game presents a highly difficult combat experience with a sword and does not include character progression. Its story combines a nightmarish future setting, psychological confusion, dark comedy, and choices described as potentially leading to different paths. The game was developed by one person using Unreal Engine 5.
