- Players seeking multiplayer shooting will not find the single-player structure suited to team play.
Our take on Dark Genesis
Rather than using a long horror campaign, the game compresses its investigation, combat, and revelations into a 30–60-minute session. Its bodycam-style viewpoint also replaces the cleaner, more conventional first-person presentation often used in shooters.
What is Dark Genesis?
Dark Genesis is a single-player, first-person horror shooter set during an investigation in a remote rural village.
A patrol protagonist responds to an urgent call and encounters villagers behaving strangely. The investigation leads to Necrogen Hospital, where dark experiments have taken place and survival combat begins. The game uses a bodycam-style viewpoint, narrow and dark environments, graphic blood, and frightening visual elements. Its story and gameplay are structured as a compact 30–60-minute experience. Developed by a solo creator using Unreal Engine 5, it focuses on realistic graphics, monster encounters, and tension rather than a long campaign.
