Our take on DAIR
The word "complex" may suggest a broad combat arsenal, but DAIR’s attack selection is intentionally narrow: the challenge comes from movement, positioning, and defensive option coverage. That gives the game a focused scope rather than the variety of a conventional fighter.
What is DAIR?
DAIR is a fast-paced platform fighter centered on a single attack usable in the air.
Its combat focuses on ground and aerial movement, including wavedashing, along with edgeguarding, ledge trapping, and covering multiple opponent options. Players plan attacks to restrict an opponent’s choices while avoiding reversals. The game supports online matches with rollback netcode, local multiplayer requiring a controller or device for each player, and keyboard play for one participant. Other features include controller remapping, broad controller compatibility, custom character colors, and hitbox visualization.
How DAIR plays
- 01Rollback online play
- Online matches use rollback netcode.
- 02Single air attack
- The combat system gives players one attack, and it can only be used while airborne.
- 03Movement techniques
- Ground and aerial movement includes wavedashing and supports tactics such as edgeguarding and ledge trapping.
- 04Local multiplayer
- Each local player needs a controller or another device, while only one participant can use a keyboard.
- 05Combat visualization
- A hitbox display can show attack areas during play.
