Our take on CyberTaxi
The store presentation foregrounds the game's large mission count and city setting, but its core identity is split across taxi work, shooting, vehicle combat, exploration, and story. That mix may be less focused than the taxi-simulator framing suggests.
What is CyberTaxi?
CyberTaxi combines first-person shooting, vehicle combat, taxi simulation, and racing in a post-apocalyptic version of Hindenburg city.
As a cab driver, players complete more than 300 randomly generated missions for different factions across 4 districts, gaining access to additional areas. Money earned during missions can be spent on weapons, shields, gadgets, and taxi repairs. The cab can also be recolored and customized. Customers provide information about the city and its future, while hidden collectibles and side activities are scattered through the environment. The game includes demolition-derby elements, synth-wave music, retro visual effects, and a story set in 2128 involving crime, pollution, drugs, and the Gambricorp organization.
