Our take on Curved Space
Rather than keeping shoot-'em-up action on a flat plane, the game wraps combat around curved environments. Wall climbing, flipping across surfaces, and bullets following the terrain replace the genre's usual fixed horizontal or vertical field.
What is Curved Space?
Curved Space is an arcade-style twin-stick shooter set across curved landscapes where bullets follow the terrain and the horizon can fall sharply away.
Players fight invading cosmic spiders, evade enemy fire, collect weapon power-ups and ability upgrades, and face large bosses. The campaign follows an energy harvester whose choices lead to one of three protagonist versions and different story directions across asteroids, space stations, and other stages. Arena offers more than 60 randomized campaign challenges, while Survival uses increasingly difficult waves. Endless combines randomized challenges with extra objectives, and Daily Run allows one attempt each day. Weapons range from lasers and flamethrowers to weed whackers, with individual overdrive states.
How Curved Space plays
- 01Curved Space Combat
- The battlefield bends around the player, allowing movement up walls and across the opposite side while projectiles follow the terrain.
- 02Branching Campaign
- Choices determine which of three protagonist versions leads the fight against the spider invasion.
- 03Multiple Challenge Modes
- Arena, Survival, Endless, and Daily Run add randomized trials, escalating waves, extra objectives, and one-attempt daily scoring.
- 04Weapon Upgrades
- The arsenal includes varied weapons with separate overdrive states, alongside collectible ability improvements.
- 05Synthwave Soundtrack
- The game features music from Scandroid, 3Force, and Fury Weekend through a partnership with FiXT Neon.
