Saves you a refund- Players who want free movement and control over where they explore may find the icon-based navigation restrictive.

- Players who prefer horror without jump scares, blood, or adult themes may want a milder experience.
Our take on Curse
Movement is controlled through clickable icons rather than free navigation, giving the manor investigation a guided, ride-like structure.
What is Curse?
CURSE is a narrative-focused point-and-click horror game set in Atherton Manor, where deaths and disappearances have occurred over the past 100 years.
Players investigate the manor, read notes and dialogue, and try to drive out its paranormal occupants and escape. Navigation uses clickable icons in a 3D environment rather than free movement, with some control over what can be viewed. Ghosts appear at random points and attack when provoked; a flashlight’s ultraviolet function can damage them, and the lights go out during attacks.
The story follows a mostly linear path with light branching. The game includes jump scares, blood, and adult themes, while aiming for atmosphere rather than graphic violence. A typical playthrough lasts 2–4 hours; experiencing branches and optional difficulty settings can require multiple playthroughs.
How Curse plays
- 01Icon-based navigation
- Clickable markers guide movement through the 3D manor instead of allowing free movement.
- 02Ultraviolet flashlight
- Its UV function can damage attacking ghosts, while the beam also illuminates dark rooms and corridors.
- 03Branching story
- Light variations in events sit within a mostly linear narrative, with optional difficulty settings and achievements to pursue across repeat playthroughs.
- 04Random ghost attacks
- Ghosts can appear at unpredictable points, and the manor’s lights go out during their attacks.
