Our take on Cubemen
Rather than keeping towers fixed in place, Cubemen makes each defensive piece a movable unit. Its competitive modes also turn tower defense into a two-sided real-time contest, replacing the genre's usual attack-versus-fortification structure with direct pressure from another player or the computer.
What is Cubemen?
Cubemen combines tower defense with real-time strategy in a 3D battlefield.
In Defense mode, players place and reposition Cubemen to protect a base across 35 solo stages with difficulties from beginner to insane. Skirmish mode supports one-versus-one matches against AI or another person across 25 local levels. Mayhem adds 9 online levels for six-way matches, while local matches against bots do not require an internet connection. Maps include height differences, bridges, crossings, and suspended platforms. A level editor supports creating, sharing, and favoriting stages. Six Defense variants, online leaderboards, statistics, 41 achievements, tower placement options, character customization, and selectable music themes add further structure.

Cubemen compared to similar games
Cubemen focuses on tower defense, movable defensive units, and real-time one-versus-one or six-way matches. Men of War: Assault Squad centers on large-scale World War II combat with direct control of every unit, while Xenonauts uses turn-based squads to defend Earth from an alien invasion. These alternatives therefore use military command structures rather than Cubemen's tower-defense framework.
