Our take on Crashy Laps
Instead of hiding the circuit behind a forward-facing racing view, the game keeps the entire course visible and offers isometric or top-down perspectives. Its racing structure also treats collisions and foul play as routine parts of overtaking rather than exceptions to clean driving.
What is Crashy Laps?
Arcade racing takes place on 20 compact tracks, with the full course visible during play.
Single-player and local multiplayer support up to four players, while keyboard controls support up to two simultaneous players. Races feature aggressive overtaking, collisions, and foul play. Four formats are available: Time Trial, Quick Race, Grand Prix, and Championship. Tracks span four areas with distinct terrain and road conditions, plus four variants. Three AI difficulty levels range from Novice to Expert. Players can switch between isometric and top-down camera views, adjust zoom, choose combustion or electric engine sounds, and change the number and colours of cars. Crashy Laps compared to similar games
Crashy Laps focuses on compact, fully visible circuits, local multiplayer for up to four players, and four event formats. Absolute Drift centers on drifting across 34 tracks, while Circuit Superstars is a top-down racer built around motorsport. JDM: Japanese Drift Master uses an open-world, story-driven structure, unlike Crashy Laps' area-and-track format.
