Our take on Country Bumpkin Yutaka
Rather than centering a conventional party or battle-driven RPG structure, the game uses two sisters as its protagonists. Their identities affect conversations and determine which obstacles can be solved, placing character perspective at the center of exploration.
What is Country Bumpkin Yutaka?
Country Bumpkin Yutaka follows Yutaka after she returns from a month in the countryside to find trouble spreading through the town of Cocco.
The local priest asks her to investigate an evil presence, while her sister Keiko becomes ill and their mother behaves strangely. Explore the town, speak with residents, solve local and family problems, and investigate hidden shrines and the source of the disturbance. Yutaka and Keiko are both playable, with conversations changing according to the sister involved. Certain obstacles require one specific sister, allowing Keiko's knowledge and experience to complement Yutaka's approach. The story also includes a mystery connected to the distant past and a possible special reward.
