Skip it if you…

- Players who prefer character-focused dungeon crawling without fleet management and space combat
Our take on Corpoct
Indirect command creates a clear trade-off: strategic planning takes priority over direct tactical control. Ship positions, blueprints, cards, advisors, and consumables shape the operation, while battleships handle their own combat instead of following individual player orders.
What is Corpoct?
Corpoct is a space dungeon crawler about overseeing an expedition for a megacorporation.
The player selects a commander from a roster of heroes and villains, chooses destinations, reviews blueprints, and influences the expedition without directly commanding battleships or assigning weapons. Maps are generated anew for each run, while real-time deck building lets players pause the action and play cards. Consumables and advisors can alter battle results. Space combat ranges from fighter engagements to clashes involving armored battleships, with ships and enemy factions randomized across expeditions. The structure combines roguelike runs, exploration of unknown planets, indirect strategic decisions, and fleet development.
How Corpoct plays
- 01Real-Time Card Play
- Cards can be used during active combat, with pausing available instead of waiting for turns.
- 02Procedural Maps
- Each expedition generates new map clusters for exploration.
- 03Indirect Fleet Strategy
- The player sets the operation's conditions and influences outcomes without directly issuing ship commands.
- 04Command Roster
- Expeditions use a selectable lineup of notable heroes and villains as commanders.
- 05Variable Space Battles
- Encounters include fast fighters, armored battleships, randomized ships, and different enemy factions.
Corpoct compared to similar games
Quasimorph is also presented as a roguelike, but centers on completing corporate contracts and retaining extracted resources to strengthen a PMC. Corpoct instead focuses on directing a space expedition indirectly, selecting commanders, planning fleet positions, and influencing battles involving ships and enemy factions.
