Our take on Convenient
Rather than relying on random jump scares, the game makes object placement part of the threat: disturbing the room can alert the kidnapper. Its escape-room structure replaces a purely linear chase with puzzles, exploration, decisions, and multiple endings.
What is Convenient?
Convenient is a short survival horror game set in a convenience store and its basement in Oldlake County.
After stopping for gas, the player is chained in the basement and must solve escape-room-style puzzles to get out. Items need to remain as they were when the player woke up, or the kidnapper may notice and attack. The game includes decisions, chase sequences, useful items to find, hidden secrets, and multiple endings. Its low-poly PS1-inspired style presents an interactive environment with creepy characters. The story concerns a traveler who stops at a convenience store after hearing warnings about disappearances in the area and encounters the Oldlake Stalker. The game does not use random jump scares.
