Our take on Contract
Instead of centering on a hero’s next great quest, Contract starts after the Demon King has already been defeated, with the hero on vacation. Its dungeon run is also tied to a contract for borrowing the village’s sword, making that agreement part of the mystery rather than a simple equipment pickup.
What is Contract?
Contract is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer about a legendary hero who visits a village for a vacation after defeating the Demon King.
When monsters return, the village elder asks the hero to clear an eastern cave. The hero has no sword, so the elder lends a treasured magical weapon in exchange for signing a contract. The dungeon runs through rooms filled with monsters, and the hero continues fighting as their numbers seem endless. Defeating the dungeon’s boss is part of uncovering the mystery behind the contract and the monsters. The game also frames the contract as a strategic choice, asking players to weigh its advantages and drawbacks. It features pixel graphics and is listed for Windows and macOS.
