Our take on Armortale
Armor switching adds several attack types to the platforming, but it also makes equipment management part of the core play. Players seeking a single straightforward moveset may find that added choice interrupts the game’s fast pace.
What is Armortale?
Armortale is an action platformer set in a magical fantasy kingdom.
Players journey with a wise witch to find four magic armor sets and stop two escaped demon baby foxes from terrorizing the kingdom. Each armor set has its own attack, and armor can be changed during play through the inventory or two optional quick-select menus. The game includes more than 10 locations and a detailed map with fast travel. Custom keybindings and support for Xbox and generic USB gamepads provide control options. Optional Swift Challenges add speedrun modes in which players try to beat the Swift Witch’s records and earn rewards. The game also features unique bosses, original artwork, and an original soundtrack.
