Is Concubine worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Action-RPG players who want extensive character and companion customization rather than a fixed protagonist
- Dark-fantasy players interested in medieval Istanbul, mythic enemies, and boss fights rather than realistic historical combat
- Players who enjoy combat alongside harem-base decoration instead of a battle-only experience
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a low-combat experience may hit a wall during the battles against enemy groups and bosses.
- Players who want a tightly bounded character creator may find the many appearance, equipment, costume, and skill options demanding.
- Players looking for a purely historical setting may not fit the supernatural entities, spells, cultists, and mythological monsters.
- Players seeking a stealth-only or story-only RPG may not fit the hack-and-slash combat and random-instance structure.
Our take on Concubine
Players may bounce off the customization system before reaching the combat loop: appearance sliders, costumes, weapons, skills, companions, and base furnishings all compete for attention. Those expecting a direct action RPG may find the harem and decoration layers interrupt the route from one battle to the next.
What is Concubine?
Concubine is a dark-fantasy action RPG set in medieval Istanbul.
Players create a concubine and up to three female companions, changing body and facial details, costumes, armor, weapons, skills, and spells. By day, the party stays in disguise at a harem; by night, it explores palaces, temples, monuments, streets, and crypts while battling cultists, monsters, and bosses. Combat includes swords, daggers, maces, bows, spells, and whips. Fights can provide random skills for character and companion skill trees.
Story progression opens new areas, while random instances offer additional equipment. The harem base can gain rooms, cellars, dungeons, and hamams, with furniture, art, paint, and accessories. Rescued companions can be customized and equipped. Pose mode supports scenes in the palace or cleared instances, and photo mode pauses combat for camera, lighting, and focus adjustments.
