ActionIs Combat Core worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Arena-fighting fans who want local matches with friends rather than solo-only play.
- Players who prefer AI opponents to competing only against other people.
- Fighting-game players who want to build custom characters rather than use only fixed fighters.
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a slow, methodical pace may find the fast combat difficult to follow.
- Players seeking a fixed, tightly controlled arena may dislike hazards, weapon pickups, and destructible surroundings.
- Players looking for a solo campaign or story-driven progression may not find that structure here.
Our take on Combat Core
Players who want controlled, predictable exchanges may hit a wall once arena hazards, weapon pickups, and destructible surroundings enter the fight. The fast pace and physics-based interactions make the battlefield itself part of the combat rather than a static backdrop.
What is Combat Core?
Combat Core is a colorful science-fiction arena brawler with matches for two to four participants, including team battles and battle royale.
Play with friends on the same device or online, or compete against computer-controlled fighters. Arena weapons, environmental hazards, and physics-driven destruction shape the action, with ragdoll effects responding to hits. Each fighter has individual abilities and attributes, while Combat Cores modify statistics and provide additional attacks. A built-in editor allows custom fighters to be equipped and adjusted through gear, attributes, and skills. The game includes support for Oculus Rift and OpenVR.
