Our take on Colonize
The premise centers on survival and trade, but the scope stays with a small colony across three locations. With no armies or warfare, the pressure comes from managing supplies, production, weather, and settlers rather than responding to military threats.
What is Colonize?
Colonize is a settlement-building game about managing a small colony in the 17th-century New World.
Players gather raw materials, turn them into goods through production chains, and manage food, shelter, workers, the economy, weather, and settlers’ needs. Trade ships exchange goods with England, bringing in resources the colony lacks. The game includes three historical-inspired locations: Roanoke, Plymouth, and Bermuda, each with different conditions, resources, and challenges. There is no combat, military, or warfare; the central challenge is keeping the colony supplied and its people alive. Difficulty settings can make colony management more relaxed or more demanding, and play is paced for slower, thoughtful city-building.
