Our take on Clutchtime™: Basketball Deckbuilder
The card system concentrates the experience on roster combinations and tactical choices, leaving less room for direct on-court control or broader club management. The two campaign structures add variety, but both remain centered on building and adjusting a basketball deck.
What is Clutchtime™: Basketball Deckbuilder?
Build a basketball deck around plays, player skills, and team combinations.
Each team begins with five starter players, represented by three skill cards each. During games and seasons, cards can create defensive pressure, force turnovers, or support three-point shooting. The game offers elimination tournaments with roguelike progression and a regular-season mode in which losses are allowed before qualification and playoff games. Random seasonal events let teams trade, improve cards, remove cards that do not suit the current strategy, or copy selected cards. Additional team cards include timeouts, coach challenges, and referee complaints that can result in technical fouls.
