StrategyIs Cliff Empire worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- City-building players who want to manage several small settlements at once
- Strategy players interested in trading between cities and an orbital station
- Simulation fans who want research, power choices, and changing climate conditions
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking one large continuous metropolis may stop at the fixed structure of three small cities
- Players wanting a single focused campaign may find the mix of city management, quests, sandbox play, and tower defense too divided
- Players looking for military tactics or turn-based squad combat will not find those as the central activity
Our take on Cliff Empire
The likely bounce point arrives when managing three economies in parallel becomes the central task. Players who prefer a single settlement may find the combination of inter-city trade, research, climate pressure, and power decisions too fragmented before reaching the later quests.
What is Cliff Empire?
Set after a nuclear war has made the Earth's surface uninhabitable, Cliff Empire focuses on developing three small cities on cliffs in randomly generated levels.
Manage the economies of multiple independent settlements, trade goods with other cities and an orbital station, and respond to changing climate conditions. Power choices include ecological and harmful sources. Research offers 48 university upgrades for city development, while more than 120 structures support construction and 15 goods are available for trade and consumption. The game includes 15 quests connected to the orbital station and a later large location, along with sandbox play. Camera options include 3D, orthographic, and free-roaming views. A tower defense mode is also included.
