Is Claws & Chaos worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want animal-themed team-building battles with asynchronous competition
- Strategy fans who prefer squad synergies and card-based modifiers over direct unit control
- Solo players seeking a campaign alongside leaderboard and arena modes
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking direct, real-time control of individual units rather than auto-battler team construction
- Those wanting a short, fixed campaign without repeated arena battles or endless team waves
- Players uninterested in collecting and customizing many differently themed animal characters
Our take on Claws & Chaos
The focus on team composition and asynchronous battles trades away direct battlefield control. Players shape squads, synergies, and Buff Card choices, but the format does not center on issuing moment-to-moment commands during live combat.
What is Claws & Chaos?
Build teams of unusual animals and fight for a place on the Ark in an auto-chess-style battler.
The game combines a complete single-player campaign with hand-drawn scenes and artwork, plus asynchronous multiplayer modes. Arena Mode pits players against user-created teams while tracking progress toward 10 Victories. Rapture Mode sends teams through continuing waves of opponents, with Buff Cards affecting squad construction and leaderboard competition. Animals include Bearbarians, Catsassins, Samurai Shibas, and Hamster Weebs, each with different strengths, weaknesses, and synergies. Team customization centers on collecting creatures and combining their abilities. The story follows creatures rejected from the Ark by King Chipmunk, leading to a campaign focused on removing him from power.
